The ranges fold away in layered blue, each ridge a softer tone than the one in front of it. Above them the sky turns — peach low on the horizon, rising through rose into a quiet wash of lavender. The detail of the day has already gone; what remains is the gradient, the hush, and a slow surrender of warmth from the last of the sun.
