The beehive domes of Purnululu, close — sandstone read like a slow drawing.
An intimate frame of the rock itself: layered bands and sculpted curves, wind-carved lines that sweep across the surface like brushstrokes. The colour shifts in passes — deep ochre to honeyed gold, with smoky charcoal accents banding the stone. From this distance the country is no longer landscape; it is texture, pattern, the surface of something old and patient.
What the photograph holds is geology as drawing. Part rock, part painting — an organic abstract that doesn't invent abstraction so much as find it already there.
The palette is warm and grounded, with the kind of tonal range that lives well in worked materials. Sympathetic to natural timbers, linen, cane and brass, and to leather and aged stone in heavier rooms. Sits naturally above a console or sofa, in a hallway, a study, a modern dining room — or paired into a textural gallery wall in a contemporary or rustic interior.
Printed and framed in a thin gallery profile, matte finish, ready to hang. We tend toward dark wood — never the loudest thing in the photograph — but four frame finishes are offered. Made-to-order · Free Australia-wide shipping · — Two Fat Bunnies.
